Order Our Steps Fitness Program
Our Lady of Lourdes in conjunction with Morehouse School of Medicine and the Community Engagement Research Program (CERP) have received a mini grant to implement the Order Our Steps Fitness Project to address the obesity epidemic in adults and children by encouraging them to walk more. We have recruited over 100 parishioners to participate in a 5 month walking club that will be culminating with a community wide 3K Walk on Saturday, May 15, 2010.
The program is designed for participants to walk in safe places in their neighborhoods or around the work place five days a week independently or with their group. You will be given a pedometer to record your steps for the next 21 weeks beginning on November 28, 2009. Please post your steps on this spreadsheet. Each walking club will have a team captain that you will select at your first meeting.

Abs & Upper Body Class, Mondays at 5:30 p.m. ~ Starting Feb. 8, 2010
Lower Body Toning Class, Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. ~ Starting Feb. 9, 2010
Cardiovascular & Respiratory Enhancement Class, Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. ~ Starting Feb. 11, 2010
All classes will run for six(6) weeks in the Dance Studio
